Frequently asked questions

Including the answers other services tend to avoid.

Do I need an SSN or ITIN?

No. Most of our clients have neither. Without an SSN or ITIN, the EIN is applied for by fax using Form SS-4, and that's the process we handle. It's slower than the online route, which is why the EIN takes 2–6 weeks.

How long does the EIN take?

Typically 2–6 weeks after we fax your application. The IRS controls this and we can't speed it up. We'll email you the moment it arrives.

Can I get PayPal with a US LLC?

Probably not. PayPal generally rejects non-residents who don't have an SSN, even when the company is a US LLC with an EIN. We don't set up PayPal, and we'd rather tell you now than after you've paid.

What about Stripe or other payment processors?

We don't set up Stripe or any payment processor. Each one has its own requirements for owners, and it's their decision whether to accept you.

Will you open a US bank account for me?

No. We don't open bank accounts or arrange introductions. Banks decide whom they accept.

What does the registered agent do?

Wyoming requires every LLC to have a registered agent with a Wyoming address. The agent receives official legal and state documents for your company and passes them on to you. It's included for the first year, then costs ⁨$199⁩ a year.

What does it cost in total?

⁨$399⁩ one-time, which includes the ⁨$104⁩ Wyoming filing fee. From year 2: ⁨$199⁩ a year for the registered agent, plus Wyoming's annual report fee (⁨$60⁩ minimum), paid to the state. The pricing page lists everything.

Should I choose Wyoming or Delaware?

That's your decision, or one for a lawyer. We only form Wyoming LLCs and don't recommend one state over another. As a factual comparison: Wyoming's annual report fee starts at ⁨$60⁩ a year, and Delaware charges LLCs a $300 annual tax.

Should I form an LLC or a C-Corp?

That's your decision, or one for a lawyer or tax adviser. We form single-member LLCs only, and we don't advise on company structure or tax.

Will I owe US taxes?

We don't give tax advice. What we can tell you is that a foreign-owned single-member LLC must file Form 5472 each year, due April 15, and the IRS penalty for not filing is $25,000. Your own country may also tax you. Please speak to a tax professional.

Can my company have more than one owner?

Not yet. We currently form single-member LLCs only. If you plan to have partners, say so in the application and we'll contact you personally.

Can you serve everyone?

No. We can't serve residents of countries under comprehensive US sanctions. The application asks for your country of residence first, so you'll know before you pay.

Why do you need my passport, and how is it protected?

The IRS and the registered agent need to know who owns the company, and the name on your EIN application must match your passport exactly. Only you and the founder can view your passport file, never through a public link, and every time the founder opens it, it's logged. We delete it 6 months after your order is delivered.

Are you a law firm?

No. We're a filing service. We file what you instruct, and we don't provide legal or tax advice.
